Two drivers of a Sienna and a Camry cars this
afternoon escaped death when a
Truck laden with of 1x20 foot container fell
on them and damaging vehicles completely.

An eyewitness told Harboursandport.com that
the truck’s brakes had failed while descending from the bridge linking Tin-can
Island to Apapa just before the round-about. The
eyewitness said in an attempt to avoid hitting the vehicles that were in front
of him, the truck driver had claimed the pavement, causing the truck to tilt to
the side.
On sighting the approaching truck, the
drivers of the cars Harboursandport.com learnt, got out of the vehicles before the
tilting truck and its containers fell on the vehicles.
As at the time Harboursandport.com visit,
some security operatives from the Nigeria police, Nigerian Army, which has a
barrack close to the scene and personnel of the Lagos State Emergency
Management Agency (LASEMA) were on ground.
