Adeniyi, former Customs Spokesmen Now Boss of New MMIA Comman


Comptroller Wale Adeniyi erstwhile National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS has be posted to the Murtala Muhammed  International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja has new Customs Area Controller, CAC.

Adeniyi has been handed the baton of leadership of the Command by the immediate past CAC, Comptroller Jayne Shoboiki.

At the handing over ceremony which took place Tuesday, Shoboiki said that the command was split into two in line with the restructuring and additional eight (8) Commands were created out of the existing ones.

Also, the former Controller noted that the Service Board during it's 50th regular meeting on May 21, 2019 approved the creation of the eight (8) additional Commands, to enhance effective administration and boost revenue generation for Government.

In her word's, she said" I am glad to introduce to you, a seasoned officer, Comptroller Wale Adeniyi now in charge of MMIA, the same God who has been with me through out my time at MMIA, will surely support the New Comptroller, God will help him to excel in his career.

Shoboiki advised importers/exporters to improve on their level of compliance, to enable Customs generate more income to the government and facilitate trade in line with global best practices.

Adeniyi said in his response noted that "I want to count on the understanding and guidance of all of you to make this place better than I met it. We need to realize the objectives of the management in splitting the Command into two. It is going to be a lot of work. I am sure we are all ready to work.

He added, it is now time for us to work because we have to put that work first before any other consideration.

Adeniyi commended Shoboiki for the good work she had put in place at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
