Abba Kyari
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of Mr Boss Mustapha as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and Malam Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff (COS) to the President.
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Friday said both appointments took effect from May 29, 2019.
Kyari was the COS during Buhari’s first term and has now been re-appointed.
In recent time, there have been massive protest in Abuja against his return for a second term.
The protesters, under the aegies of APC Concerned National Stakeholders said they were on the protest in order to drive their demands to the whole world, and particularly to President Muhammadu Buhari that Abba Kyari must go.
But the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) condemned the protests by some persons claiming to be All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders against some trusted aides of President Muhammadu Buhari, especially his Chief of staff Malam Abba Kyari.
It described it as ill-thought, needless and unfortunate and also distanced its members from the protest at Kyari’s official residence.
