Customs suspend petroleum supply to filling stations 20km from borders

Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), have ordered the suspension of supplying petroleum products to filling stations within the reach of 20 kilometers in all the land borders across the country.

In a statement with number EII/2019/CIRCULAR NO 027, signed on behalf of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Hameed Ali (Rtd.), by the Deputy Comptroller- General, Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation, (EII), Nigerian Customs Service  (NCS), DCG Chidi A, stated that no petroleum product, irrespective of its size, is allowed to be discharged to any filling station within 20 kilometers to the border.

He further warned stakeholders involve in this sector to strictly adhere to the order, as defaulters will not be spared.
