The
Arsenal captain has been given assurances that Arsenal will strengthen their

agreeing to a new three-year deal with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to The Telegraph, the contract that Arsenal has offered
Aubameyang would run until 2023, which would cover the final year of his
current deal and extend it by a further two years.
The report states that
Arsenal are drawing up the final contract proposal for the 31-year-old to sign
after positive talks during which verbal promises were made.
Aubameyang's new deal is set to be worth £250,000 a week
and will also include significant bonuses.
The Gabon international
is set to commit his future to Arsenal after being assured that the club will
strengthen their squad during the transfer window.
Willian is reportedly
close to joining from Chelsea, while the Gunners have also been linked with
Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes. Arsenal are also interested in
bringing in a midfielder.
Arsenal were eager to tie Aubameyang down to a new deal,
with the 31-year-old a crucial part of Mikel Arteta's side.
Since he joined from
Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, Aubameyang has scored 70 goals in 109 games
for Arsenal.
Aubameyang's display in
Arsenal's FA Cup final victory against Chelsea last weekend, during which he
scored both goals in a 2-0 success, emphasised his importance to the
club.
Although he is most suited to playing upfront,
Aubameyang has often been deployed on the left-wing under Arteta and he scored
an impressive 22 goals in 36 Premier League games this campaign.
Speaking after the FA
Cup final, Arteta was hopeful that Aubameyang would stay.
Arteta said: 'I
think he wants to stay and it is just about getting the deal done.
He is loved by everybody
at the club. Hopefully, he can continue with us.
