Customs Training School Seeks Ejibunu's Enforcement Expertise For Cadets

Harboursandport.com: Lagos - New Commandant of Customs Training school, Ikeja, Haruna Handison has called on the Acting Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A, Hussein Ejibunu to avail cadets of the Service his rich expertise in the field of enforcement.

Handison, who made the call in Lagos yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit on Ejibunu, said it is important that his host and other top officials of the Service, pass on their knowledge and experiences to new entrants for the betterment of the Service.

He noted that “The training school is the place where capacity building takes place. The synegy between the FOU zone A and the training school is very important, we are going to tap from your experience in the area of enforcement. The next set of cadets that will be coming for their basic six months course, we will need you to deliver lectures on enforcement,” he noted.

Responding, Ejbunu said that all officers of the Service passed through the Customs training school to become a prope officer, stressing that the appointment of Handison is not only well thought of but a testimony to his past efforts regarding training of officers of the Service.

He told his guest, “I have no doubt of your capacity and capability. I will be a reliable alley to you. There must be corporation between both units, whatever support we can give will be for the good of the Service.

We must strive to leave the Service better than the way we met it through improving whereever they are posted to. Officers should take a queue from Handison, he has paid his dues and that is why his has been appointed,” he noted.
