Kanwan Katsina Lauds Masari Over Project Execution

Harboursandport.com: Katsina - The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Kankara has applauded Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari, over developmental projects executed in his eight years of administration in the state, particularly in Ketare District.



According to a statement, he spoke at a dinner and farewell award night organized by the Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ held at the Government House Council chamber.

The Kanwan Katsina who is the grand Patron of the NUJ Katsina State Council said Ketare District has benefited from various developmental projects under the Masari administration that include the construction of a state-of-the-art Comprehensive Primary Health Care Center in Ketare town, Gora-Gundawa-Wawal Kaza Road, Government Day Secondary Schools, and ecological works among others.


While describing the governor as media-friendly, he wished him well in his future endeavors.

On his part, Masari appreciated the NUJ for identifying with him as he leave office noting that the end of his tenure as governor is the start of a new phase in life while responding after receiving the award,.


He charged journalists working in the state to continue to always put the people first and to always work for the development of the state.

Masari who explained that journalist has the capability to make or mar any government called on the state council of the NUJ to extend a good working relationship to the next incoming governor.


Others who spoke at the event include the NUJ chairman Tukur Hassan Dan Ali, special Adviser on Security Matters Ibrahim Abdullahi Katsina, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information Culture and Home Affairs Sani Bala Kabomo, and the Chairperson NAWOJ Comrade Hannatu Mohammed.


The Kanwan Katsina was joined by the NUJ Chairman to present the award to Governor Masari while the Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel comrade Sabo presented to the Deputy Governor Qs Mannir Yakubu at the event which was attended by members of the state executive council, head of government agencies, executives of the NUJ and working journalist in the state.
