Harboursandport.com: Edo State - The National body of the Peter Obi Movement (POM), has appointed a new set of leaders to pilot the Edo State Chapter of the Movement.
The eight-man team which included State Coordinator, State Secretary, Youths and Women Leader, and others was inaugurated during a virtual meeting convened by the National Chairman of POM, Citizen Eliashib Ime-James.
The event which was witnessed by three BOT members and other National officials also included the National Treasurer, Citizens Sunny Idowu Sado, South-South Regional Lead, Citizen Naomi Essien, and the Secretary to the BOT, Barr Rosemary Emovon, who administered the Oath of Office to the new state leaders.
A statement signed by Senatorial Manager for Edo North, Citizen Alex Akao, noted that those who assumed new leadership roles in the State are, Citizen Moses Ogbeide as the new State Coordinator; Citizen Samuel Agbajie as the Secretary, and Citizen Juliet Oboh, who emerged as the new Woman Leader.
Other new leaders of the Movement who were sworn- in are Citizen Lucky Ewere, Youths Leader; Citizen Christopher Itua, as Senatorial Manager for Edo South; Citizen Austen Osazua, Senatorial Manager for Edo Central and Citizen Alex Akao, as Senatorial Manager for Edo North.
National Chairman of POM, Citizen Eliashib Ime-James while admonishing the new leaders to uphold the tenets of the Movement also urged the Senatorial Manager to see themselves as "Deputies" to the State Coordinator.
He said the Movement would outlive the ongoing Court cases aimed at taking back the stolen mandate which was overwhelmingly given by Nigerians to His Excellency, Peter Gregory Obi as the validly elected president of Nigeria during the February 28, national election.
He said the National Exco has intensified efforts to appoint capable "Obedience" to man the currently vacant offices of the Public Relations Officer, State Treasurer, and Organizing Secretary.
