Haboursandport.com: Lagos - May 26,2025: The Public Relations PR Unit of the Nigerian Shippers Council NSC, has received an applaud from the Council's Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Akutah Pius, for it impressive performance as image maker of the government agency.

This commendation was made at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Public Relations Retreat, themed “ Building, Strategic Planning, Sharing Ideas to Stay Ahead of Competition” held recently in Lagos.

The Shippers Council boss, boasted that NSC is known for its impeccable role in the maritime sector, noting that the Council is aiming at bigger responsibility for the sector.
He also affirms that the theme for the PR Retreat was in line with the Council's plan to transmute to the Nigerian Port Economic Regulatory Agency NPERA with the goal of creating effective regulations at the nation's seaports.
He calls for more support in training and retraining of PR staffs for the optimal execution of their duties; and also commended the PR Unit for its impressive performance, urging the team to demonstrate even greater commitment moving forward.
The Head, Strategic Planning & Research Department of the Council, Mr. Rotimi Anifowose while delivering his speech, also adviced the staffs to ensure they engage in self-development as practitioners of Public Relations.; and also imbibe discipline and be more responsive in the management of the Council's reputation.

She also appreciated the support of the CEO and Management staff for making the retreat a reality.
