Harboursandport.com: Lagos, Nigeria – October 2, 2025: Le Look House of Bags marked a monumental 40 years of influence and empowerment on October 1, 2025, with a grand celebration at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
Under the theme “Legacy of Resilience: Empowering Entrepreneurs for Africa’s Economic Future,” the event brought together business leaders, government officials, maritime stakeholders, and cultural performers to honor the brand’s remarkable journey.
Founded in 1985 by Chinwe Ezenwa, Le Look has evolved from a small, women-led enterprise into an internationally acclaimed manufacturer of afro-centric luxury bags, exporting across the globe.
Throughout its journey, the company has remained dedicated to boosting local manufacturing, creating jobs, and equipping women and youth with valuable skills.
The event showcased Le Look’s signature bags and honored its sustained commitment to entrepreneurship, including through the Le Look Academy, which provides hands-on training in both bag-making and digital skills at centers in Abuja, Enugu, and Lagos.
The academy’s partnerships with institutions like the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) underscore Le Look’s role in building capacity and fostering trade.
Chief Mrs. Ezenwa highlighted the anniversary as both a celebration and a call to action for continued support of African entrepreneurship amid a fast-evolving economy. The event drew over 300 distinguished guests, reinforcing Le Look’s legacy as a beacon of resilience, innovation, and empowerment in Africa’s entrepreneurial landscape.
