SIFAX Group Empowers 3,500 Nigerians Through Nationwide CSR Initiatives

Harboursandport.com: Lagos, Nigeria – September 21, 2025: SIFAX Group has impacted the lives of over 3,500 vulnerable Nigerians through a series of Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR initiatives carried out between July and August 2025. 



The outreach, coordinated through its NGO arm—the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, AAAF —and in partnership with other organizations, targeted windows, children, persons with disabilities, petty traders and voluntary returnees from abroad. 


In July alone, 3,083 individuals across Lagos, Isade, Zaria, and Umuahia benefited from healthcare support, vocational training, and empowerment programs. 


Notable interventions included: Free healthcare services for 639 people;  vocational training for 1,398 women; girls, and boys in tailoring; crocheting; shoemaking and bag-making; One-day business training for petty traders in Umuahia ahead of an interest-free loan scheme; Empowerment of 10 traders in Zaria; Provision of a borehole for the Agbelekale community in Lagos and Distribution of essential items to 750 voluntary returnees in collaboration with the World Bank and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, NCFRMI.


In August, SIFAX Group partnered with NIDSMET Services to sponsor skill acquisition training for 500 youths in Satellite Town, Lagos. 




Participants were trained in confectionery, catering, textile design, photography, cosmetics, event management, and other income-generating skills.


Speaking at the grand finale of the training, Group Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Olumuyiwa Akande—represented by Mr. Olatunde Adewola—reaffirmed the company’s commitment to social impact.

Mr. Olabiyi Oluwole, Managing Director of NIDSMET Services, praised SIFAX Group’s consistent support, noting that many graduates of the program have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs and job creators.


AAAF Coordinator, Foluke Ademokun, emphasized the Foundation’s continued dedication to supporting disadvantaged groups nationwide.


The CSR efforts reflect SIFAX Group’s broader philosophy of inclusive growth, community development, and sustainable economic empowerment.
