Harboursandport.com: Lagos - The Nigerian customs service in Kano and Jigawa states is
expected to close its supermarkets and stores that support imports of rice and
other prohibited items.
In a letter
with reference number NCS / KAN / 053 / S.28 dated February 17, 2020, I wrote
to all supermarkets and stores in the states of Kano and Jigawa and ordered
them to refrain from being prohibited or threatened to close them.
However, in the letter, the agency did
not specify when the system would come into effect. He said the decision was to
ban the use of illegal substances in the economy and security of the country.
