The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Kankara, has acknowledged the efforts of Katsina State Area Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Dalha Wada Chedi, for improving Customs-Community Relations and suppressing smuggling activities.
He gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit in the company of his council member and delegation from Ketera district to congratulate Chedi on his recent promotion from the rank of deputy comptroller of customs to the comptroller of customs.
The Monarch described the comptroller as dedicative and hardworking who has contributed to the success of the NCS as he served in various capacities across the country.
Kankara expressed happiness as one of the officers he groomed while serving at Tincan Island port area command Lagos some twenty years back has attained the Rank of Comptroller which is the highest peak in the career of the Customs Service.
He prayed for success and God's guidance to the new comptroller of Customs Dalha Wada Chedi. Responding, the new comptroller of customs Wada Ched thanked his former boss Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare who is also a retired comptroller of customs. He acknowledged the fact that he worked under the tutelage of comptroller Usman Bello Kankra retired when he was at the rank of Deputy Superintendant of Customs in Tin can island port. He said he is aware that to whom much is given, much is expected therefore he will redouble his effort in serving the nation and keep on doing his best to suppress smuggling and improve revenue to the nation. He then thanked the Kanwan Katsina and his delegation who came all the way from Ketare to facilitate with him and requested advice at all times.
