According to a report by Daily Post, the National Leader and the presidential candidate of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu has finally revealed the geopolitical zones where his running mate would emerged ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that since the conclusion of the primaries of the two political parties, attention has since been shifted to the selection of running mates of the two leading political parties in the country. The presidential candidate of the ruling party, Tinubu was said to be pressured the most because of the issue of religion. Being a Muslim from the South, his running mate was expected to came from the Northern geopolitical zones, and it was reported in the media that he may picked a Muslim, which would made the party field a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
But contrary to popular opinion, the former Governor of Lagos State, Tinubu has said that the slot of the vice president belong to the Northeastern region and particularly the Christians. He noted that consultations were yet ongoing as to who would be chosen as his running mate ahead of the 2023 general elections. He further added that no group, institution or person can imposed a running mate on him.
