The saying that, "cleanliness is next to godliness",is a fact that has been used in different nomenclature as regards good personal hygiene.
If you have ever spared a minute of your time to ruminate over why those up there prefer to be in close contact with people of same caliber, you will realize that it isn't their financial status alone but the good application of personal hygiene in their daily routine.
Always remember that personal hygiene refers to the practice of maintaining good health by keeping oneself clean and free from diseases. It is advisable that people maintain and practice good hygiene for self benefits. This is because, research has shown that the body of people with poor personal hygiene, their body provides an ideal environment for germs to grow, leaving it vulnerable to infection. For this reason, it is important to maintain both our physical and mental mind.
People who do not practice good hygiene may be perceived unhygienic and this can lead to them being avoided or shunned by others. Poor personal hygiene can in a way, cause people to lack social confidence as they feel conscious about their appearance resulting to depression such that it becomes too difficult for them to focus on their work or other responsibilities.
Aside from other factors causing people to be shunned, isolated or even depressed, poor hygiene contribute in its own way. However, in a bid to promote good hygiene and good health, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has immensely recommended washing of hands at certain times. That is before eating,before and after treating a cut or wound,after going to the bathroom,after blowing the nose,coughing or sneezing, etc.
Moreso,keeping the body clean and presentable included things like showering,brushing teeth,and using deodorant. Keeping the mouth clean and healthy includes brushing teeth,flossing,and using mouth wash. People should also care for their skin by moisturizing and avoiding hard chemicals. How about the nails? Keep fingernails and toe nails clean and trimmed at all time.
If prevention they say is better than cute, people should adopt the measures of good personal hygiene such as bathing everyday,washing hands regularly,changing clothes and bedding regularly, and above all, brushing twice a day as recommended by doctors. These are small changes to be made to your daily routine to improve your health.
It may also interest you to know that good hygiene is so powerful that its importance cannot be overemphasized as it is capable of boosting your confidence and helping you make a good impression on others both socially and professionally. The good news about good personal hygiene is that it enhances better overall wellbeing,improves your physical and mental health, enliven you at place of work and helping discharge duty accurately without any fear of rejection.
