Mfon Usoro Re-elected CILT- NG President

Harboursandport.com: Lagos - The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT-NG) has re-elected Barr. Mfon Ekong Usoro, former Director-General, of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), as its President.




CILT Publicity Committee Chairman, Mr. Bashir Ambi-Mohammed, who made this known in a press statement, disclosed that Usoro will run the affairs of CILT-NG for the next two years.


Ambi-Mohammed commended the Chairperson of CILT-NG Mrs. Rakiya Nuhu for conducting a free and fair election online election among members of the Institute across the length and breadth of Nigeria.


The executives that emerged winners at the end of the process are:


National President, Barr. (Mrs.) Mfon Ekong Usoro; Deputy National President, Dr. Aminu Yusuf Musa; Vice President North, Billy Edwin Filibus; Vice President East, Borlo Peter Barku; Vice President West, Usoro Samuel Udo; Aviation Mode Representative, Queen Ajayi.


Others are the Logistics Mode Representative, Ngozi Okoro Blessing; the Maritime Mode Representative, Salim Bello; the Pipeline Mode Representative, Olawoye Mobolaji; the Road Mode Representative, Sani Mathew Ibrahim; the Railway Mode Representative, Dauda Akinola Olabayo; and the Female Representative, Juliana Obiageli Saka.


In her remarks, Usoro congratulated all the winners of the just concluded election, both old and new while promising to work effortlessly in creating a lasting and sustainable legacy for the Institute. 


“I have to appreciate CILT International for the cooperation, cordial working relationship, and progressive leadership.


“My deep appreciation to my ever-faithful professional colleagues. They have been steadfast even without any personal benefit like appointment to offices accruing by having voted for me the last time. I love you. You make the efforts worthwhile for me. Our shared goal is to make a positive difference in the profession, not personal gains. Please stay with me. I will not by the grace of God disappoint you. See you at the conference.” She concluded.
