Arewa Leader Tells FG, Wike To Allow Fubara Deliver His Constitutional Mandate

Harboursandport.com: River State - The leader of Arewe Initiative for Peaceful Co-existence in Southern Nigeria, Alhaji Musa Saidu, has called on the Federal Government and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, to allow the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, to deliver on his constitutional mandate to the people of his state.

Saidu, who is also the Speaker for Northern Traditional Council and Chairman of Hausa Community in Rivers State, noted that Fubara was elected by his people to govern the state, noting that his actions must be in line with what is provided in the 1999 Constitution (amended).

The Arewa leader, who spoke in Port Harcourt, noted that it would amount to illegality if the governor takes actions that are not guided by law, adding that FG must follow the Rule of Law in addressing the crisis in the state.

He urged the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, to rather queue behind Fubara and support the administration to succeed, rather

Saidu said: “Wike was a governor and his tenure has finished. If your son is a pastor, all you need to do is to queue behind him. Fubara has not done anything wrong. Wike should pipe down. E should queue behind Fubara. He should realise that Fubara is now the governor.

“We need peace in Rives State. Fubara must be allowed to deliver his constitutional mandate to the people of Rivers State who elected him. He cannot work at the expense of the people that elected him.”
