... Former CAC heads to Abuja as ACG
Harboursandports.com: Lagos- December 20, 2024:Former Customs Area Controller, CAC of Tin-can Island Customs Command, Dera Nnadi, who was recently promoted to Assistant Comptroller General, ACG today handed over leadership of the Command to the new CAC, Frank Onyeka.
Speaking at the handover ceremony at the Command's office in Lagos, Nnadi urged the various stakeholders at the port to continue their strong cooperation and partnership with his successor.
Nnadi emphasized his leadership position at TCIP, where he oversaw the collection of N1 trillion in revenue and the renovation of the Customs administrative building.
He said that these accomplishments serve as a fdoundation for his successor to build on to achieve greater success.
Nnadi's promotion is not unconnected to his outstanding service and leadership in the Service's success.
His tenure in the Command marked notable advancements in national security where he oversaw operations that led to the confiscation of illegal items, such as weapons, ammunition, and illegal pharmaceutical products.
Nnadi expressed gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for his guidance and support over the years.
He highlighted his dedication to fulfilling the NCS's mission and aiding national development by improving trade facilitation and security initiatives.
With his appointment as the ACG, stakeholders are looking forward to his contribution to the upper levels of the Service, thereby ensuring ongoing improvements in the Service's operations across the nation.
