This refresh signals a new era of visionary leadership and transformative social impact for the gender-focused NGO.

In a statement released Tuesday in Lagos, Acting Executive Secretary Chinwe Okafor-Mefor revealed the induction of seven distinguished professionals to the Board of Trustees, all drawn from both public and private sectors. The BoT now comprises: Chinwe Ezenwa – Chairperson; Mfon Usoro – Vice Chairperson; Lami Tumaka; Janet Adeyemi; Aisha Ali-Ibrahim; Chinwendu Anaroke and Kingsley Anaroke.
Complementing this, the Governing Council, now an eleven-member powerhouse of industry changemakers, is poised to drive innovation, creativity, and a deep commitment to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion, DEI. Chaired by Kema Chikwe, it includes: Augustina Igbokwe – Vice Chairperson; Yetunde Akinluyi; Sylvia Asana Dauda, Jean Chiazor Anishere; Ihuoma Onyearugha; Hauwa Audu; Carol Ufere; Rabi Musa Saulawa, Lucy Newman and Augustina Kenechukwu.
MMS Amazons Steering Committee: Building Tomorrow’s Trailblazers To further the mentoring vision for younger women of influence, a special Steering Committee for MMS Amazons has been established. Leading this forward-thinking team is: Gloria Kanabe – Chairperson; Bunmi Falana – Vice Chairperson; Hope Afoke Orivri; Nkeiru Nwala; Olufunmilayo Olotu; Blessing Osakwe-Ogo and Juliana Saka.
Leadership “As we re-strategize to reposition the NGO for greater societal impact, their expertise and passion for social change align perfectly with our mission,” said Okafor-Mefor. “These are dynamic individuals with proven records and integrity. Their presence across the three bodies will help crystallize the dreams of women who carry the burden of change.”
Founded in 2012, the MMS WoFHoF Initiative has been at the forefront of gender advocacy, role modeling, and capacity development. The organization has trained over 3,000 professionals and empowered countless small businesses through grants and mentorship.
With over 100 influential women already inducted, the Hall of Fame continues to serve as a beacon for amplifying women’s voices and dismantling the boundaries of bias. This new governance era promises to accelerate those goals with renewed energy and inclusive leadership.
