Harboursandport.com:Lagos --- The federal government has been has charged to invest more in technology for employment and capacity building for unemployed youths in the country.
Making the call in Lagos at it's inaugural youth cinference, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eka Consult, Mrs Steph Mekwuye, said at a time critical time like this when unemployment has become a major problem, investment in technology is the easiest way out.
The Eka Consult boss said the core objective of the conférence is to help Nigerian youths realize the importance of technology and use it to create job opportunities for themselves and to be self indépendents.
Mekwuye said building block is the brainchild of Eka Consult and it aimed at technology advancement on our youths. She said governement should support the youths to take advantage of blockchain technology to develope their capacities in business, support growth initiative and become a blockchain developer like other developed nations.
The Eka Consult boss, also said blockchain technology can be used in our voting system to minimize electoral malpractice and irregularities in our voting system, track hackers, enable, fast transaction, in the banking system, track cars, enhance agriculture, reduce cyber fraud, piracy, amongst others.
In her words, "It might also interest you to know that the submit was sponsored by the bank of industry.
"Some of the students who spoke at the conférence said it is à welcome development as it will encourage great Nigerians youths especially those who are doing well in the aspect of technology and create more job opportunities," she said.
