Harboursandport.com: Lagos: The short clip below shows the level of
pollution of the canal linking the Liverpool end of Apapa and Ajegunle, a
suburb in the commercial capital of Nigeria.
The clip was shot by our
reporter while crossing from Apapa to Ajegunle recently.
There is a need to urgently
address pollution across those waterways along that axis of Lagos. Most
communities by the waterside do not have modern toilets, the residents
construct wooden cover on top of the water and they do their thing right on the
water.
