Harboursandport.com: Lagos - The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigeria Shippers Council, NSC, Pius Ukeyima, has said that the management is working at getting the buy-in of the Council’s staff in the strategy for the achievement of the performance bond signed with the ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
Ukeyima who disclosed this at the
Council's retreat with themed, “Strengthening Economic Regulation Of
Marine and Blue Economy” held in Lagos, said that the performance bond signed between the Minister Chief Executives of agencies under it, is to ensure that
everybody in the Council and other agency be onboard to achieve a successful
result following the president mandate.
The Shippers Council boss in his
address at the event said, "You will recall that the President held a
similar retreat with his ministers where they signed a performance bond in
order to implement his mandate.
“That same retreat was held by the ministry,
a couple of weeks ago to cascade the performance bond that was signed by the minister
down to the Chief Executives of the agencies, including the Nigerian Shippers
Council”
"We have signed that
performance bond with the Minister, and now, we are cascading it down to the
staff of the Shippers Council, beginning with the directors, down to the last
person, we want to drive the mandate of Mr. President and everyone must be
onboard, including the drivers and other cadre of staff of the Council,"
he noted.
