Harboursandport.com: Lagos.- November 1, 2024: The Mediterranean Shipping Company, MSC has said that it handled export consignments of over 40,000 Twenty Equivalent Units of Agricultural products in the last 12 months.

Speaking at a one day training workshop for maritime journalists in Lagos, Deputy Managing Director of MSC, Jacob Iosso, said that the volume of goods handled by the company the year before has increased this year.
The MSC Deputy Managing Director, said the export goods which are mostly Agricultural produce, were shipped to different countries globally.
According to him, "In the past 12 months, MSC has shipped out over 40,000 TEUs of export. We have done over 40,000 TEUs but I don't have the exact number off the top of my head, but I know it's over 40,000."
On the items exported he said, "The majority of export items in Nigeria are agricultural commodities.
"The items are mostly Soya Beans, you have Sesame Seeds, you have Coco, you have a number of other crops."
On the destination of the exported goods, Iosso said, "Europe, America, Asia. You know that MSC is a global shipping company. So we are exporting all over the world. The majority is be shared between all the continents.
"I don't have all the data with me at the moment," he noted.
