Harboursandport.com: Lagos, Nigeria – December 5, 2025: The Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC has officially unveiled its new Enterprise Content Management System, ECMS a landmark step in its journey toward full digital transformation.
The platform is designed to enhance administrative duties, digitize operations, and streamline service delivery across the Council. With a target of becoming fully digitalised by December 2025, NSC says the initiative will revolutionize its internal processes and improve efficiency.
According to a statement on the Council's official Facebook page, document handling, storage, and retrieval of official records will be streamlined while workflow automation will eliminate bottlenecks and accelerates approvals and decision-making.
It will also lead to reduction in reliance on physical documents, cutting costs and improving sustainability as well as improving transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to stakeholders.
On commitment to transformation, Shippers Council emphasized that the ECMS is not just a technological upgrade but a strategic move to strengthen Nigeria’s maritime administration.
By digitizing its operations, the Council aims to set new standards in efficiency and transparency, positioning itself as a modern regulator in the global shipping ecosystem.
The unveiling marks a significant milestone in NSC’s reform agenda, underscoring its determination to leverage technology for sustainable growth and improved stakeholder confidence, the statement concluded.
