Harboursandport.com: Lagos - January 22, 2025: Foremost Maritime Beat association, Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria, MARAN, on Wednesday, January 22nd, kicked off the year 2025 activities with thanksgiving, prayers, and celebration of members' birthdays at its International Maritime Press Centre, Apapa, Lagos.

Declaring open the association's maiden general meeting for the year, MARAN President, Godfrey Bivbere, expressed appreciation to God for keeping members of the association and their families safe throughout 2024.
He also thanked God for the successes recorded by the association in the past year. Bivbere charged members to brace up for the tasks ahead in the new year as it is full of activities.
Members who had their birthdays between July and December, 2024 were celebrated with a MARAN branded birthday cake.
The birthday celebrants for each of the months took their turns to pose for group photographs with the cake.
Earlier, the guest minister, Pastor Ezekiel Vincent of Dominion Spring Ministry led the members of the association in thanksgiving and prayers.
Pastor Ezekiel thanked God for MARAN and its members and prayed for good health and enlarged coast in the new year.
