TTP Integrates CBN’s NXP Into Ètò Electronic Call-Up System, Enhances Nigeria’s Export Efficiency

Harboursandport.com: Lagos- February 6, 2025: In a bid to improve Nigeria’s export logistics, a leading tech company, Trucks Transit Parks Ltd. (TTP) has successfully integrated the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Nigeria Export Proceeds (NXP) system into its Ètò Electronic Call-Up platform.

This integration represents a significant collaboration between TTP, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), CBN, and other key stakeholders to modernise port operations, enhance transparency, and improve regulatory compliance. This innovation is said to have been effective since January 3, 2025.

Exporters, according to the new system, must secure an approved NXP application number before booking export consignments. This regulation, which is backed by NPA, in line with government directives, ensures that only shipments with verified final-stage approval can proceed to export processing.

Through the enforcement of this requirement, the initiative is aimed at reducing processing delays at Export Processing Terminals, ensuring containers are only released to the port once they have met all regulatory conditions, and minimising road congestion by requiring export vehicles to complete their reloading before heading to the port.

Additionally, a more structured and efficient export process is set to boost Nigeria’s international trade competitiveness, attract foreign investment, and increase national revenue.

TTP's specialised technical knowledge played a crucial role in the smooth integration of the NXP system with the Ètò platform. The platform allows for real-time verification of NXP application numbers through the NPA-CBN-NXP portal, ensuring that only shipments that meet all compliance requirements can enter the ports, thereby enhancing the integrity and security of the process.

The Managing Director and Co-founder of TTP, Jama Onwubuariri, highlighted the company's commitment to innovation and efficiency in the export industry. According to him, their relentless pursuit of technological excellence has led to a solution that not only simplifies the export process but also strengthens regulatory enforcement, where the collaboration with NPA, CBN, and other stakeholders sets a new benchmark for operational excellence in Nigeria’s export industry.

"Our team’s relentless pursuit of technological excellence has culminated in a solution that not only streamlines the export process but also reinforces the collective efforts of industry regulators and stakeholders, notably the NPA. We are honoured to collaborate closely with the NPA, the CBN, and other partners in ensuring that this integration sets a new benchmark for operational excellence in Nigeria’s export sector. This achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished when cutting-edge technology meets proactive regulatory oversight," he stated.

The effective incorporation of the NXP system into the Ètò platform showcases a collective effort between TTP, NPA, CBN, and industry stakeholders aimed at enhancing Nigeria's export logistics. By combining advanced technology with active regulatory supervision, this collaboration has paved the way for a safer, more efficient, and competitive export environment, which will ultimately foster economic growth and sustainability.
